In this case study, we explore how this company used Smart Grid Manager to optimize control of its wind farms, helping to generate greater returns and extend asset lifetimes. The same company is already using Helin’s platform to monitor and optimize its Geothermal doublets.

Founded in the Netherlands, IQIP has provided total solutions for construction projects in the oil & gas and offshore wind sectors for over 40 years. IQIP used the Helin platform to converge data from its global fleet of piling equipment. This means IQIP could quickly analyze and resolve issues, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and increase the operational efficiency of its piling activities.

Boskalis is one of the world’s largest maritime and offshore service providers, with more than 500 vessels and floating equipment. It offers a range of expert dredging, offshore transport, and installation solutions, as well as maritime services, including towage and salvage. Since 2022, Boskalis has partnered with Helin to connect data from across its global fleet of assets in one secure edge computing platform. With this platform and associated applications, Boskalis has increased its IT teams’ operational efficiency, improved safety in specific areas, and reduced its fuel consumption.

Noble is a leading offshore drilling contractor for the oil and gas industry, with a fleet of over 40 rigs across the world. It focuses largely on ultra-deepwater and high specification jackup drilling opportunities. Noble implemented Helin’s edge computing platform to integrate their data sources and applications into one platform. Noble also uses our Remote CCTV Manager across 20+ rigs and is looking to expand its use of Red Zone Manager.

Sunrock is the largest solar energy company in The Netherlands. They play a leading role in the evolving energy landscape. The volatility in supply that solar energy inevitably brings in the Dutch climate, demands a fundamentally different approach to operating in the energy market. It needs smarter and more local grids. We implemented our smart energy middleware solution to monitor and control the solar farms in the best way possible.

Maersk Drilling (now Noble) is constantly striving to increase safety and efficiency. That’s why they wanted to implement a conditional red zone monitoring solution on the Maersk Discoverer rig. Working with FMJ Rolloos, we developed and implemented a vision-based AI solution to alert crews in case of unsafe situations.
